    Today is 9 of october and , in Valencia(Spain), it is a local day off about the Comunitat Valenciana (the region of three provinces that are valencian) but It is considered the lovers day too.

    Because of that last thing , there is a tradition of offering the «Mocaorà»(wich means handkerchief roughly) to someone (tradition says to women from men but times change) it consist in a handkerchief that wraps little figurines of marzipan (shaped as fruits) or two big ones that simbolize ….. things.

    In the drawing you can see several marzipans with a little hint of how they are decorated , the handkerchief and in the back a reference to the local flag. It is also availiable on patreon.

  • A small problem for Jan

    One year ago i saw a video explaining how an astronaut cuts his nails on space that the ISS commander did. After Janwatching the video i graved my «crazy ideas» notebook and thought of several methods to make clipping your nails in space less messy with tools and items that could be found on board of the space station. One of them seemed quite easy to build even at home so i did and tried if it was comfortable to use, turns out it was. Then i just left it a side and went to do other things until a month ago i thought i could do a short tale with it. So, I did the instructions and then a few drawings with a few short sentences an named the main character after a comic artist from my childhood, then i added a bad joke  and chosed a title and Tadaa! I had a new very short story.

    el sereno les desea feliz navidad 2bLa profesión de sereno, reside en el saber popular en un rinconcito reservado para la morriña junto a la frase «Todo tiempo pasado fue mejor».  A pesar de que hay muchos piensan que la profesión de sereno es obsoleta y ha desaparecido,  Gijón sigue ofreciendo el servicio de serenos, pero los tiempos les han hecho adaptarse.

    Ahora que pasar dando la hora y despertar a los vecinos ya no es necesario, los serenos siguen siendo imprescindibles en esa ciudad para ayudar a los vecinos a irse a dormir con alguna preocupación de menos.

    Pero el cuento que os presento aquí no está inspirado en ellos si no en las postales de los serenos que, cuando tocaba pedir el aguinaldo, no podían faltar en el buzón deseando unas buenas fiestas a los vecinos. Esas postales a contrario que los serenos, se han perdido pero no olvidado y por ellas surgió este relato … o no.
